À l’occasion du Off des Rencontres de la Photographie - Arles 2026, la galerie Space Between accueille l’exposition exceptionnelle d’Ann Ray qui célèbre l'intime, la vulnérabilité et l’indicible... à travers des photographies et compositions sur toile ; au total près de 90 oeuvres résonnent entre elles et composent un corpus visuel et sensible, un chemin d’une grande fluidité.

Fidèle des Rencontres d’Arles, l’artiste y avait marqué l’édition 2018 avec Les Inachevés, une exposition célébrant son ami Lee Alexander McQueen, rassemblant 169 photographies sous le Commissariat de Sam Stourdzé, dans le programme officiel.

En 2023, elle participait à l’exposition “Portraits - La Collection Bachelot au Musée Réattu”, et signait l’affiche avec un portrait de femme, “Mystères”, tirage Lith argentique réalisé par l’artiste.

Elle revient aujourd’hui à Arles avec une proposition majeure, plus intime, célébrant la vulnérabilité et l’indicible à travers trente années de création.

En plein coeur d’Arles, dans un cadre délicat et protecteur, comme un écrin, l’exposition FRAGILE dévoile une oeuvre profondément personnelle, où se mêlent mémoire, apparition, disparition, questionnements, songes et émotions. Un sentiment de vérité humaine, fragile.

As part of the Arles 2026 Rencontres de la Photographie / Off program, the Space Between gallery is hosting a remarkable exhibition by Ann Ray, celebrating intimacy, vulnerability, and the unspeakable… through photographs and compositions on canvas ; overall, nearly 90 works resonate with one another, composing a harmonious and sensitive body of work—a visual journey of great fluidity.

A regular at the Rencontres d’Arles, the artist marked the minds at the 2018 edition with “Les Inachevés”, an exhibition as an homage to her friend Lee Alexander McQueen, featuring 169 photographs curated by Sam Stourdzé, as part of the official program.

In 2023, she participated in the exhibition “Portraits—The Bachelot Collection at the Musée Réattu” and signed the poster of the exhibition featuring a portrait of a woman, “Mystères,” a silver lith print created by the artist.

Today she returns to Arles with a major, more intimate exhibition celebrating vulnerability and the inexpressible through thirty years of creative work. In the heart of Arles, within a delicate and protective setting—like a jewel box—the FRAGILE exhibition unveils a deeply personal body of work where memory, apparitions, disappearance, dreams, questions and emotions intertwine. A sense of human truth—fragile.
