Dream in Arles, 2026

I have no words.

It was not supposed to happen… Everything started with a common friend, and a phone call with Jean-François Robert, founder of SPACE BETWEEN in Arles.

Then what was supposed to be a - not so - simple exercice, revisiting 30 years of creation (photography & compositions) with 30 artworks, following the theme of fragility, widely explored for a while, ended in a major exhibition.

FRAGILE is probably the most honest, most accurate, most intimate, and most offered exhibition that I have done so far. A commitment, an invitation, something to be shared in the name of humanity and hope. You may visit the exhibition in Arles - at the Rencontres d’Arles / OFF program - until ctober 4th 2026.

What I feel : Immense gratitude to Jean-François Robert and his teams. Immense gratitude to the visitors and the messages received; I will never forget this summer 2026. And it’s not even finished !

Exposed

Launching a new exhibition in 2020 - initially planned in May - on October 15th seemed like a miracle, honestly.

I am delighted, honored and grateful to Galerie Sabine Knust , and especially Matthias Kunz who wonderfully curated the show, for my new exhibition “Licence to dream” in Munich.

Process

The naked truth : I love processes. More than anything else.

When it's done, it's behind.

Installing my exhibition in Arles, France, with the precious help of my Curator Sam Stourdzé - Director of the prestigious Festival "Rencontres de la Photographie"- , has been an extraordinary moment. When everything falls into place.

It's done and I can't undo it. As I walked by tonight, before catching my train to Paris, I asked myself the one and only question : Would Lee McQueen like it ? I believe this answer is "yes".

Acta est fabula.

"Les Inachevés" - Lee McQueen" will be opening on July 2nd, and will last until September 23rd 2018 - Rencontres d'Arles, France.
